Day | 01 | Kathmandu – Arrival |
Arrive at the Kathmandu Tribhuwan International airport to meet our representative and head towards the designated hotel. Spend the afternoon on sightseeing with a visit to the Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Swayambhunath, an approximately 2000 years old formation is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist chaityas. At the base of the structure, you can see the watchful eyes of Lord Buddha painted on the four sides. Swayambhunath is a famous World Heritage Site from where a stunning view of the Kathmandu valley can be witnessed.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar squares situated in the Kathmandu Valley. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by courtyards and temples. Visit the statue of Jagannath and King Pratap Malla; Nasal Chowk; Nautale Durbar; Gaddi Baithak, KalBhairav, the god of destruction; and the Taleju Temple, built by King MahendraMalla in 1549 AD.
On the same day, explore the sites of Hanuman Dhoka and the living Goddess Kumari. Spend the night at the hotel.

Post breaktfast, your schedule will involve an excursion to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath.
Pashupatinath is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located 5 km in the east of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is structured with silver doors and a two-tiered golden roof. It is recognized as a World Heritage Site and is often considered to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines.
Next is Boudhanath, situated at just 3 km from Pashupatinath. Listed in the UNESCO Heritage Monument (1979), this is one of the biggest stupas in the world.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the next site part of this day’s itinerary is the plaza situated in front of the Bhaktapur Kingdom. All three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, the valley of Nepal, are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a must visit in Kathmandu. It is a group of distinct squares comprising Taumadhi Square, Pottery Square, Dattatreya Square, and Durbar Square. It is situated in the Bhaktapur town, at a distance of 13 km in the east of Kathmandu.
The tour now heads to Nagarkot, a hill station 32 km in the east of Kathmandu. On your way to Nagarkot, you will be able to enjoy a stunning and picturesque view of the countryside. Sunset and sunrise with the Himalayas can also be witnessed here. Spend the night at the hotel in Nagarkot.
